A three-hour course for Stanford staff

How do Stanford medical and undergraduate students learn human anatomy?

Level 1: Learn The Secrets of the Basement

Participants will:

  • Discover the technologies that Stanford students use to prepare for a future in medicine, including 3-dimensional interactive models, digital diagnostic imaging, and the Anatomage Table
  • Learn how the combination of these technologies with human cadaver dissections makes learning anatomy at Stanford a unique experience
  • Observe a surgical procedure demonstration

Level 2: Anatomy Meets Surgery

Participants will:

  • Learn relevant human anatomy in the context of a common clinical condition
  • Research a clinical condition in simulated medical school class
  • Assist the surgeon in performing the surgical treatment

(Prerequisite for Level 2 is completion of Level 1)

Class is open only to staff at Stanford University, SHC, and LPCH. Space is limited!
